MANSFIELD, Mass. – Today four Northeast-10 men's and women's swimming & diving programs were named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association (SCSAA) Scholar All-America Team for their success in the classroom this past year.
On the women's side, Assumption, Bentley, Saint Michael's, Saint Rose were all honored while Bentley, Saint Michael's and Saint Rose were the men's teams to be named to the Scholar All-America Team. Prior to this spring, teams with a minimum 3.0 GPA in any given semester were lauded with the accolade. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, additional institutional adjustments to grading systems resulted in GPAs nearly one-quarter letter grade higher than previously, leading to the CSCAA deciding to not publish team GPAs. Teams whose institutions switched entirely to pass/fail grading were also not included.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
