Panthers Coming Off Program's Ninth NCAA Championship.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Reigning NCAA champion Adelphi, which was recently crowned No. 1 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Preseason Poll, has also been chosen first in the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Coaches' Poll, as announced on Thursday morning.

Le Moyne, ranked No. 3 in the IWLCA Preseason Poll, finished second behind Adelphi with 158 points and two first-place votes. Four other teams that are nationally-ranked in the preseason – New Haven, Pace, Assumption and Bentley – finished No. 3, 4, 5 and 6, respectively, in the NE10 Coaches' Poll.

The Panthers, fresh-off a 19-3 season and the program's ninth overall NCAA championship title, received a majority of support with 168 points and 12 first-place votes from the league's head coaches. In five of the past six seasons, Adelphi has earned the top spot in the NE10 Coaches' Poll.

Kole Pollock, the reigning IWLCA Division II Player and Attacker of the Year, returns to Adelphi for her senior season. She scored a team-best 81 goals as a junior and was eventually named the NCAA Most Outstanding Player in the tournament – helping to lead the Panthers to their remarkable sixth national title since 2010.

The 2020 season begins on Saturday, Feb. 15, when Adelphi hosts Molloy. The first league contests are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 29, as Stonehill travels to Adelphi and American International hits the road for Assumption.

The NE10 Women's Lacrosse Championship is set for Sunday, May 3, with the quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 29, and the semifinals on Saturday, May 2. The high seeds in each game will host and all matchups will be streamed live on NE10 NOW.
