NE10 Women's Lacrosse Teams of the Week: AIC, New Haven

AIC, UNH

Each week for the remainder of the spring we will honor the seniors from two NE10 women's lacrosse programs as our teams of the week for each player's dedication to their program and teammates.

AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL

Coach Riley Brennan on her senior class - "We couldn't be more grateful for the dedication and commitment that Chelsea Davis has given to the program over her last four years. It has been such an honor to watch her grow and mature as a teammate and leader. She is relentless in her pursuit of success both on the field and in the classroom. We are so proud of Chels, and can't wait to have her back next year."

Season Recap
Following a 4-13 season in 2019, the Yellow Jackets were off to a 3-1 start in their first four games of 2020 – nearly matching their win total from the previous year. AIC, under first-year head coach Riley Brennan, had won three-straight contests before the spring season came to a halt. Davis posted a 3-1 record in goal for the Yellow Jackets, recording a .440 save percentage with 33 saves this season.

NEW HAVEN

Coach Jen Fallon on her senior class - "Each member of our senior class has contributed tremendously to the continuing growth of New Haven lacrosse.  They have been some of our best achievers in the classroom, our most involved in the community and our top performers on the field. Together they have shared in some memorable wins and some emotional losses. They have learned to manage conflict, to put their teammates first and to lead in their own special, unique way. We will miss their contributions on the field, but mostly we will miss all the little things they have done to help elevate our program!"
