COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College baseball team spread the holiday spirit locally last week, putting together a toy drive for 45 kindergarteners at nearby Hinesburg Community School. The drive was organized by senior captain Nate Rogers and assistant coach Matt Meunier, who is an employee in the Hinesburg Community School's Champlain Valley School District.
 
Rogers said the team spread word to the local and Saint Michael's baseball communities about the drive, which occurred during the final week the Purple Knights were on campus during the fall semester, and enough money was raised to support a bag for each child of pencils, Play-Doh, crayons, markers, chalk, a foam baseball, and a sticker book. The Saint Michael's baseball team arrived to deliver the gifts in person before departing for holiday break.
