Pace University's Director of Athletics Joseph O'Donnell Announces Retirement

Pleasantville, N.Y. – The Pace University Director of Athletics Joseph O'Donnell has announced his retirement effective May 31, 2011. O'Donnell has been the Athletics Director at Pace since 1997.

During his time at Pace, O'Donnell has overseen the renovation of Howard Johnson Hall on Pace's Briarcliff campus, which hosts several coaches, meeting rooms, locker rooms and a training room. In addition, Pace also opened the Ann & Alfred Goldstein Health, Fitness & Recreation Center in 2002. O'Donnell is also responsible for the initiation of the Pace Athletic Hall of Fame and Setter Club booster organization.

Pace University is an NCAA Division II institution that sponsors 17 intercollegiate sports as well as equestrian, dance and cheerleading teams. Pace competes primarily in the Northeast-10 Conference with the equestrian team being a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA).
