Kerri Fagan Joins Northeast-10 Conference Staff

South Easton, Mass. – Kerri Fagan has been named Associate Commissioner for Sport Administration and Championships at the Northeast-10 Conference, it was announced today. She will begin her new position with the league office on July 1.

Fagan comes to the league from Hamilton College, where she served as the Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator.
 
“We’re thrilled to be bringing someone with Kerri’s experience and leadership on board to work at the NE-10,” said league commissioner Julie Ruppert. “I am confident she will be a tremendous addition to our staff and will be a great resource for our member institutions.”
 
During her time at Hamilton, Fagan worked with all teams and student-athletes; oversaw game management; and was responsible for ensuring compliance with all NCAA and NESCAC policies.
 
Fagan, who has over 20 years of experience in college athletics, served as the Senior Associate Commissioner for the America East Conference prior to joining the Hamilton College staff.  While at the conference office, Fagan oversaw the conference’s daily operations, including policies and procedures, conference championships, and women's basketball operations in addition to organizing the conference's women's basketball championship.
 
Fagan spent over seven years at the NCAA, including six as Associate Director of Championships, administering and managing various NCAA Championships. 

Prior to joining the NCAA, Fagan served as Assistant Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator at Indiana State University.  She has also served as a project coordinator for the Indianapolis Local Organizing Committee in preparation for the 1997 NCAA Men’s Basketball Final Four and transportation manager for the United States Olympic Festival in Denver in 1995. Fagan started her career in Athletics Administration as an intern with the United States Field Hockey Association in Colorado Springs, CO.

A native of Burrillville, R.I., Fagan earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management from UMass and a master’s degree in sport administration from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.  Fagan played collegiate field hockey at UMass-Amherst.

The Northeast-10 Conference is an association of 15 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,000 student-athletes.

Each year, 4,000 of those student-athletes compete in Conference championships in 23 sports, making the NE-10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sports sponsorship. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the Northeast-10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
