DONATES OVER 300 TOYS FOR LAWRENCE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY
NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. - In the spirit of the holidays, the
Merrimack College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee set out to
spread some holiday joy to local area child
ren. SAAC collected toys to donate to the Boys & Girls Club of
Lawrence for its annual Christmas Party. The Lawrence Boys &
Girls Club and Merrimack Athletics have a long-standing
partnership. Each Warrior student-athlete was asked to bring in a
toy. With the generous response and the high participation of
student-athletes, over 300 toys were donated and the drive was a
huge success. Four of the teams had over 100% participation, while
every team participated, including the students in the sports
medicine program.
During final exams week, SAAC President and women’s soccer
student-athlete Susanne Carter made a trip to the Lawrence Boys
& Girls Club to deliver the toys, along with women’s
basketball players Gately Golden and Bryna Batten.
