Northeast-10 Tops in Academic Success and Graduation Rate
For Immediate Release:
The Northeast-10 Conference is the top NCAA Division II
conference in academic achievement based on the new graduation-rate
method.
The Northeast-10 has a conference Academic Success Rate of .87
percent, which is tops among the 22 NCAA Division II conferences.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference is ranked second with a .83
rating followed by the Sunshine State Conference (.82).
The Northeast-10 also posted a federal graduation rate of .70
percent, which is tops among Division II Conferences. The Central
Atlantic Collegiate Conference is ranked second with a .64 percent,
followed by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference at .62
percent.
“The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to again be the leader
in all of Division II in the federal graduation rate and now the
new academic success rate,” said Commissioner David Brunk.
“These figures continue to show our student-athlete's
graduation rate is consistently higher than that of the total
student body. The balance on our campuses between academics and
athletics provides our student-athletes a path to graduation while
cultivating a variety of skills and knowledge for life
ahead.”
The Northeast-10 is one of the largest and is the most diverse
NCAA Division II playing conference in the nation. It sponsors 23
championship sports including baseball, men’s basketball,
women’s basketball, men’s cross country, women’s
cross country, football, field hockey, men’s golf,
men’s ice hockey, men’s lacrosse, women’s
lacrosse, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, men’s
indoor track and field, women’s indoor track and field,
men’s outdoor track and field, women’s outdoor track
and field, men’s tennis, women’s tennis, softball,
women’s volleyball, men’s swimming and diving, and
women’s swimming and diving
Full Members of the Northeast-10 include American International
College, Assumption College, Bentley College, Bryant University,
Franklin Pierce, Le Moyne College, The University of Massachusetts
Lowell, Merrimack College, Pace University, Saint Anselm College,
Saint Michael’s College, The College of Saint Rose, Southern
Connecticut State University, Southern New Hampshire University,
and Stonehill College.
