South Easton, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference has announced the appointment of Molly Myers as Assistant Commissioner. The announcement was made today by Northeast-10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert.

Myers joins the NE-10 after spending the past four years as the Compliance Coordinator at Villanova University where she was in charge of the monitoring of athletic department NCAA rules compliance and aided in the provision of rules interpretations. In addition, she administered Villanova’s National Letter of Intent and athletic financial aid programs and was responsible for coordinating the rules education program for coaches.

Myers’ duties at the Northeast-10 will include coordinating the conference’s compliance program and other internal functions, including providing compliance support to the conference membership, providing interpretations of the NCAA and Northeast-10 rules and processing of violations and waiver requests. She will also serve as the liaison with the NCAA Membership Services staff overseeing member’s participation in the National Letter of Intent and Coaches Certification Programs and the NCAA Conference grant distributions. In addition, Myers will help direct the conference’s academic awards program and serve as the liaison with Conference constituent groups, including the Athletics’ Directors Council, Faculty Athletics Representatives, Compliance Coordinators and the Conference SAAC.

Prior to Villanova, Myers was an Assistant Athletic Director at Longwood University. While at Longwood, in addition to compliance responsibilities, Myers served as department liaison for faculty, registrar, financial aid and admissions. She monitored gender equity and compliance with Title IX and was Longwood’s Coordinator for SAAC and the CHAMPS/Life Skills programs.

A graduate of Hartwick College, Myers was a tennis student-athlete for the Hawks and received her master’s in Athletics Administration from Indiana University.

With 15 member institutions the Northeast-10 is the second largest NCAA Division II athletic conference in the nation. Its 23 championship sports provide athletic opportunities for over 5,500 student-athletes, the largest such program of any Division II conference.
