South Easton, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference had three institutions ranked in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Men's Soccer Preseason Poll. Le Moyne College received a No. 4 ranking, Southern New Hampshire University received a No. 8 ranking, and Franklin Pierce University appeared at No. 16.

Le Moyne finished last season 17-3-3 after advancing to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals. The Dolphins made their third consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament and the sixth appearance in the program's history last year. Le Moyne will begin its defense to recapture the Northeast-10 and NCAA East Region Championships on Saturday, Sept. 4 as the Dolphins host New York Tech to open the 2010 season.

Southern New Hampshire University, the team favored to win the 2010 Northeast-10 Regular Season Title as voted upon by the conference coaches, will open the 2010 campaign on Thursday, Sept. 2 with a home contest against Molloy College. The Penmen finished last season with a 14-4-4 record and made its second straight and 15th overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Franklin Pierce advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the seventh consecutive year in 2009 as the Ravens finished the season with a 13-5-3 record. Franklin Pierce advanced all the way to the second round before being eliminated by Le Moyne. The Ravens were picked to finish No. 2 in the Northeast-10 this year and will kick off the 2010 season on Thursday, Sept. 2 as they host C.W. Post.

With 16 member institutions the Northeast-10 shares the distinction of being the largest Division II conference in the country along with the PSAC and WVIAC. Its 23 championship sports provide athletic opportunities for over 5,500 student-athletes, the largest such program of any Division II conference.
