South Easton, Mass. – Franklin Pierce University's men's soccer team is ranked number one in the country, according to the NSCAA/ Hendrickcars.com Coaches Poll, which was released earlier this week. It marks the second straight week the Ravens have held the top slot.

Franklin Pierce (15-1-1, 12-0-1 NE-10) was recently awarded the top spot in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament which kicked off last night, and came from behind to post a 5-1 quarterfinal win over New Haven University. The Ravens scored five goals in an eighteen-minute stretch to advance to the conference tournament semifinals, where they will host Le Moyne on Friday. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST.

Southern Connecticut State University also appeared in this week's NSCAA poll as they are currently ranked at #20. The Owls (13-2-2, 9-2-2 NE-10) opened up conference tournament play with a 2-1 win over Stonehill last night. They will host Bentley University in the other semifinal game. That game is also scheduled to being at 4 p.m. EST.

In the East Regional Rankings, five Northeast-10 Conference schools are among the top eight currently. Somewhat ironically, the Ravens are ranked second behind Dowling College in the East Region. Franklin Pierce's lone loss this season came back on September 7th to Dowling, 1-0 in overtime. So. Connecticut follows the top two at three, while Southern New Hampshire University is ranked fourth, Bentley is sixth, and Le Moyne rounds out the regional rankings at eight.

This will be the final regional poll this season, as the NCAA Division II Selection Show will be held this Monday, Nov. 8 to announce the Men's Soccer Tournament field. The selection show is scheduled to being at 7 p.m. on NCAA.com.

The Northeast-10 is an association of 16 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that are committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,500 student-athletes.
