South Easton, Mass. – The College of Saint Rose women's soccer team and the Franklin Pierce University men's soccer team each held sway as both advanced to the NCAA Regional Final in their respective tournaments over the weekend.

On the women's side, Saint Rose advanced to their fifth consecutive Regional Final with a 1-0 win over the University of Bridgeport. Junior midfielder Brittany Godin scored the game's only goal eleven minutes in to the action to propel the Golden Knights to the win.

Top-ranked Saint Rose will take on C.W. Post in the regional final Friday afternoon on the campus of West Chester University.

The Golden Knights have yet to lose this season, 22-0, and have not allowed a goal in post-season action thus far. Heading into Sunday's action, Saint Rose had not allowed a goal in five straight games, and senior goalkeeper Deanna Esposito would extend that run to six, making two stops to preserve the 1-0 win.

In men's action, meanwhile, Franklin Pierce advanced to the NCAA Tournament Regional Final as they knocked off conference rival Southern New Hampshire University Saturday night. The two squads played to a 1-1 draw, but the Ravens advanced, by outscoring the Penmen 4-1 in penalty kicks.

With the win, the #1-ranked Ravens improved their overall record to 17-1-2, and have not suffered a defeat in their last 17 games (15-0-2). Junior forward Victor Goncalves scored the lone goal during regulation and junior net minder Vinny Papageorgiou was the star during the shootout. Papageorgiou stopped So. New Hampshire's first penalty kick attempt and the Ravens would never look back.

Franklin Pierce will host Dowling College this coming weekend in the regional finals. The last time the Ravens advanced to this round was in 2007, the same year they won the National Championship.
