South Easton, Mass. - The NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Committee announced today
the field of 48 teams for the 2010 Division II Women's Soccer Championship. Three Northeast-10 schools will compete in this year's championship; American International College, Franklin Pierce University, and The College of Saint Rose.

The Golden Knights were awarded the top seed by virtue of their 21-0 mark and will be one of the hosts for the East Region. It marks the eighth time in nine years Saint Rose will compete in the tournament. C.W. Post will serve as the other host.

Saint Rose will play the winner of the first round match-up between Franklin Pierce and Bridgeport. If the Ravens advance, it would set up a Northeast-10 Conference championship rematch against the Golden Knights.

On the other side, C.W. Post awaits the winner of American Int'l and Georgian Court.

The Northeast-10 is an association of 16 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that are committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,500 student-athletes. Leading the way in the classroom, on the field and within the community, the Northeast-10 is proud of its comprehensive program and the experience it provides student-athletes.
