Louisville, Ky. – Senior back Kelly Guerin (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) today earned yet another award to add to her impressive collegiate resume. Guerin was presented with the Elite 88 Award during a brief pregame ceremony prior to today's NCAA national semifinal encounter versus UC-San Diego at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium on the Bellarmine University campus.

The Elite 88, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 88 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 88 championships.

A two-time All-American and a biology major who boasts a 3.92 GPA, Guerin has previously been honored as a 2010 Northeast-10 Conference first-team All-League pick and a Daktronics first-team All-East selection for the Golden Knights (23-0-1), who have been the nation's top-ranked NCAA Division II team throughout the last three-fourths of the season. Guerin is a primary component of a Saint Rose defensive unit that has yielded only seven goals all year, including two in the first half, and owns a collective 0.29 goals-against-average.
