National Champion Merrimack Men's Lacrosse Team Has Four Student-Athletes Named First Team All-Americans
MANSFIELD, Mass. - 15 Northeast-10 Conference student-athletes were recognized as First Team All-Americans as accolades rolled in following the completion of the 2018 spring sports seasons. In total, 46 NE10 student-athletes from five different sports were recognized as either All-American or All-Region selections.
To see the complete list of those that were honored, please see below. 10 NE10 member institutions had at least one student-athlete honored for their outstanding performance on the field of play this spring.
Le Moyne starting pitcher Josiah Gray, who was recently selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the second round of the MLB Draft, was named a First Team All-American by three different publications, and was also honored as the East Region Pitcher of the Year by both the CCA and the NCBWA.
Eight NE10 men's lacrosse student-athletes were named First Team All-Americans, including four from national champion Merrimack. The Warriors' Charlie Bertrand and Le Moyne's Dan Entenmann were recognized as co-players of the year by the USILA/Nike. The Le Moyne women's team, which also won the national championship this spring, had three First Team All-Americans including Kelly Gaffney and Hannah George. Gaffney was named the National Defender of the Year, while George earned National Goalkeeper of the Year laurels.
