First Round Begins Tuesday
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Franklin Pierce Ravens and Adelphi Panthers have earned the top seeds in the upcoming Northeast-10 Baseball Championship, it was announced Sunday evening.
The 2016 NE-10 Baseball Championship will begin on Tuesday, May 10 with first-round contests. The highest seed remaining out of the Northeast Division after the first round will host the Northeast-10 Championship Weekend, which will is scheduled for Thursday, May 12 through Saturday, May 14.
The nationally ranked Ravens claimed a No. 1 seed after winning the Northeast Division with a 44-4 overall record, 25-2 in conference play and 20-1 in divisional competition. Franklin Pierce will host fourth-seeded Assumption on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
The Panthers earned the top seed out of the Southwest Division after going 25-21 overall, 13-11 in conference play and 11-7 against divisional foes. Adelphi will host SW No. 4 seed Saint Rose in Tuesday's first round.
Southern New Hampshire garnered the No. 2 seed out of the Northeast Division and will play host to divisional foe and third-seeded Merrimack at 6 p.m on Tuesday. Pace claimed the Southwest Division's No. 2 seed and will host third-seeded Le Moyne in the first round.
