Northeast-10 Player of the Week
Jason Thresher, Bryant (So., West Suffield, Conn.) - Took
first-place in the two-round, one-day Northeast Invitational hosted
by URI with a score of 142. Shot a 69 in the second round to win by
one stroke and lead Bryant to a team win over the field of nine
Division I teams.
Northeast-10 Freshman of the Week
Alex Macielak, Bentley (Fr., Loudonville, N.Y.) - Finished second
overall at the Worcester State Invitational with a career-best
round of 76 at the Sterling Country Club.
Weekly Honor Roll:
Scott Congdon, Bryant (Sr., Foxboro, Mass.) - Took sixth at the
Northeast Invitational hosted by URI, shooting a two-round total of
147 (73, 74) to help the Bulldogs to a first-place team finish.
Eric Tankanow, Bryant (Fr., Worcester, Mass.) - Finished tied for
20th in the Northeast Invitational hosted by URI. Had a two-round
total of 154 helped the Bulldogs take first-place over the field of
all Division I competition.
Kevin Rossi, Franklin Pierce (Sr., Kingston, N.Y. ) –
Finished seventh overall at the Blazer Invitational hosted by Elms
College. Carded a final score of 80 (43-37).
Weekly Notes:
BENTLEY: Bentley, which received the
Northeast-10's automatic berth by virtue of winning the conference
championship last October, will be competing in the NCAA Division
II Northeast Regional for the second straight year and the fifth
time in seven years.
