Three-Time Defending Champion Penmen Earn Top Seed for NE-10 Men's Soccer Championship

MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Three-time defending NE-10 champion Southern New Hampshire will be the top seed in the upcoming 2015 Northeast-10 Men's Soccer Championship, which gets underway Tuesday, November 3 with quarterfinal action.

The 2015 Men's Soccer Championship semifinals will take place on Friday, Nov. 6, with the Championship Final being played Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.

The highest remaining seed will host the championship final game, and The Northeast-10 Conference will be broadcasting the final game live at northeast10.tv on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.

The Penmen (15-1, 12-1 NE-10) wrapped up their conference slate with a 3-0 win over Southern Connecticut Friday night to earn the top seed.

So. New Hampshire will host eighth-seeded Saint Michael's in a Northeast-10 Championship Quarterfinal matchup Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m., with three other quarterfinal games taking place that day as well.

Merrimack earned the No. 2 seed and will host seventh-seeded Saint Rose on Tuesday at a time to be announced. Adelphi is the three seed in this year's championship and host sixth-seeded Le Moyne Tuesdy, and No.4 seed Bentley hosts fifth-seeded Southern Connecticut at 1 p.m. in the fourth quarterfinal game.

* Merrimack and Adelphi tied during the season; Merrimack earns the higher seed via a win over So. New Hampshire (Adelphi lost to SNHU).

** In the three-way tie between Bentley, So. Connecticut and Le Moyne, the tie-breaker was record within the mini-conference (Bentley had a 2-0 record; So. Connecticut had a 1-1 record;        and Le Moyne had a 0-2 record).
