SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Seven Northeast-10
Conference student-athletes were named to the 2014 Capital One
Academic All-District Women’s At-Large Team, as selected by
CoSIDA, it was announced on Thursday.
Receiving accolades was Adelphi University senior
Devan Crimi (lacrosse), Bentley
University grad student Amanda Le
(swimming & diving), Le Moyne College senior Megan
Collins (lacrosse), Southern Connecticut State
University senior Anna Pleban (swimming
& diving), So. Connecticut senior Sarah
Cebry (field hockey/lacrosse), Southern New Hampshire
University senior Phoebe Clark (lacrosse)
and Stonehill College senior Devin
Ingersoll (field hockey).
A business management major, Crimi holds a 3.70 GPA to claim her spot on the squad. The senior attack has notched an outstanding 127 points this season with 79 goals and 48 assists. Crimi and the rest of the Panthers will also play LIU Post this weekend in the NCAA Division II Semifinal round, a 2:00 pm start in Salem, Va. on Saturday.
Le, who is now working on her Masters of Science in accountancy
after completing her undergraduate work with a 3.87 GPA, earned
gold in the 200 IM at the Northeast-10 Championships and also
captured silver in both the 100 breaststroke and the 200
breast.
Collins, a senior from Baldwinsville, N.Y., has a 3.85 GPA
as a Mathematics major and this season started all 17 games for the
Dolphins.
Cebry, who carries a 3.50 GPA as an Exercise science major, had 18
goals and four assists for the Owls’ field hockey team last
fall and this past spring was limited due to injury on the lacrosse
field.
Pleban concluded her career as a 14-time Northeast-10 champion, as
the Seymour, Conn. native has a 3.88 GPA as an Exercise science
major.
Clark has an outstanding 3.96 GPA has a Business administration
major, as the Concord, N.H. was third on the Penmen this season
with 39 points on 28 goals and 11 assists.
Ingersoll earned a spot on the team for the second straight
year, will graduate Sunday with a 3.85 GPA as an environmental
science major. This season, she started all 22 games last fall and
led the team with 11 assists to go with five goals for 21
points.
The Northeast-10 Conference is an association of 15 NCAA Division
II colleges and universities located in New England and New York
that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic
opportunities for more than 6,000 student-athletes. Each year,
4,000 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships
in 23 sports, making the NE-10 the largest DII conference in the
country in terms of sport sponsorship. Leading the way in the
classroom, on the field and within the community, the Northeast-10
