Franklin Pierce, Stonehill & Southern New Hampshire to Represent NE-10

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Three teams from the Northeast-10 Conference, all from the Northeast Division, will be competing in the upcoming NCAA Baseball Championship, it was announced late Sunday night.
Franklin Pierce, Stonehill and Southern New Hampshire earned the top three seeds in the East Region. The first round of regional play will begin on Thursday, May 14.
The Ravens, the NE-10 Champions, drew the top seed with an outstanding overall record of 46-2 (24-1 NE-10) and will host the East Regional. Currently riding a 27-game win streak, Franklin Pierce will take on sixth-seeded St. Thomas Aquinas in Game 1 on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Northeast-10 Championship runner-up Stonehill claimed the No. 2 seed with a record of 33-13-1 (16-7 NE-10) thus far. The Skyhawks will face No. 5 seed Dowling at 3 p.m. in Thursday's second game.
Despite falling to Stonehill in the first round of the NE-10 Championship, Southern New Hampshire have put together a strong season behind a 30-12 (16-5 NE-10) record. The Penmen will match up with fourth-seeded Wilmington (Del.) in the final game of the first day of action at 7 p.m.
The six-team regional bracket will be double elimination and will run through the weekend with the East Regional Championship set for Sunday, May 17. The winner will advance to the double-elimination championship finals, which will be held at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C. from May 23-30.
