MANSFIELD, Mass. - American International College won the Northeast-10 Conference regular season title for the second consecutive season and will host the conference's title game Saturday, November 15 at 1 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets finished the regular season portion of their schedule with a mark of 8-1 in NE-10 play, and earn the right to host the title game at Abdow Field once again in 2014.
LIU Post thanks to their come-from-behind win earlier today against Bentley University finished the Northeast-10 portion of their schedule 7-2 and will head to Springfield for Saturday's championship game. The Pioneers finished 3-6 a year ago in their return to the league.
Earlier this season, the Yellow Jackets defeated LIU Post, 27-24, in one of the more entertaining games of the season. American Int'l senior quarterback scored on a 1-yard touchdown trun with :29 left in regulation to propel them to the win.
American Int'l defeated Stonehill College 27-17 in last year's championship game.
Championship Update
The 2014 Football Championship will take place on Saturday, Nov. 15, and the Northeast-10 Conference will be broadcasting the final game live at northeast10.tv beginning at 12:55 p.m. on Saturday.
