Post with a League-Best Nine Selections.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference was strongly represented when the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) named its fourth annual Krampade All-American Scholars, with 32 ice hockey players selected from the league for their academic excellence.
Post led all NE10 programs with nine selections as AHCA All-American Scholars, with Southern New Hampshire close behind at eight. Six of seven NE10 teams had at least one individual recognized, while two players – Post's Tyler Hackett and SNHU's Joe Fiorino – made the list after earning All-Conference honors during the 2019-20 season. For the full list, please see below.
Due to the effects of COVID-19, the AHCA revised its criteria for this year's honorees. To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for the fall semester and participated in 40-percent of the school's games. The names of 788 Division II-III men and women's players were released on Tuesday.
"These are exceptional individuals," said AHCA executive director Joe Bertagna. "The sport demands a great deal from these athletes so it is a great statement they make, individually and collectively, with their ability to attain this level of academic achievement while contributing at the NCAA level."
