Play to Resume on Sunday Morning.

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – The first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Golf Championship was cut short on Saturday due to inclement weather at The Ranch Golf Club, as only two groups finished the round before heavy rainfall postponed the remainder of play until Sunday morning.

Sunday's action will consist of the remainder of round one and the entirety of round two, scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.

At the time of the postponement, New Haven (+6) had a nine-shot lead over reigning four-time champion Franklin Pierce (+15). Saint Anselm (+27) sits in third, Adelphi and Assumption are tied for fourth (+32) and Saint Rose is in sixth (+33).

Six players completed the first round, with Assumption's Jenny Walsh carding the lowest score of 74 (+2). Franklin Pierce duo Kesinee Prukmathakul and Phisonlaya Ruayruen both shot a 76 (+4). The other three golfers to complete the round were Adelphi's Filippa Schulze Doering (+8) and Ilaria Ponziani (+13), as well as Assumption's Samantha Tinsley (+14).

Among golfers finishing the first nine holes, New Haven's Wynter Flores was the only one to shoot under par, tallying a round of one-under (71). Close behind was Saint Rose's Erika Fuentes at even-par (72) and New Haven's Erin Earl at one-over (73).
