South Easton, Mass. – A week after dropping to fourth in the country, Le Moyne College again came in at No. 1 nationally in the most recent Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll, which was released on Monday.

Le Moyne, which is currently 15-1 overall after finishing 12-0 in league play, enters this year’s Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship as the top seed and Final Four host.

First-round action of the six-team championship begins on Wednesday, with the semifinals in Syracuse, N.Y. taking place on Saturday and the title game on Sunday.

Adelphi University (14-2, 11-1 NE-10) dropped out of the top spot in the nation to No. 2 in this week’s poll. The Panthers will serve as the second seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Championship.

Wednesday’s first-round matchups in this year’s championship includes third-seeded Stonehill College (13-4, 10-2 NE-10) hosting sixth-seeded Merrimack College (7-8, 7-5 NE-10) and fifth-seeded University of New Haven (13-4, 8-4 NE-10) traveling to fourth-seeded Bentley University (12-5, 9-3 NE-10). Both games will get underway at 7:00 p.m.

Le Moyne awaits the New Haven-Bentley winner on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., while Adelphi will take on the Merrimack-Stonehill winner at 2:00 p.m.

All six teams competing in the Northeast-10 Championship are currently ranked in the IWLCA rankings and conference members also make up half of the poll’s top-10. No. 15 Saint Anselm College (8-8, 6-6 NE-10) is nationally ranked as well, although the Hawks did not qualify for the conference championship.
