NE-10 Announces Volleyball All-Conference Teams, Major Awards

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Adelphi's Megan Manierski has been named the Northeast-10 Player of the Year, as the league office announced its all-conference volleyball teams and major award winners on Thursday. Manierski was also tabbed as the NE-10 Setter of the Year and was one of three from Adelphi to garner major individual awards.

In addition to the conference's Player and Setter of the Year, the Panthers had the Libero of the Year in Sierra Crook, as well as the Sandy Hoffman Coach of the Year in Danielle MacKnight.

For a complete list of all-conference members and award winners, as voted upon by the league's head coaches, please see below.

Manierski played a major role in leading the Panthers to the Northeast-10 Regular Season Championship and the top seed in the NE-10 Championship, which the Panthers host this weekend. She leads the conference in assists (1,160) and assists per set (10.45). Manierski is also in the top-10 in the league with 37 service aces on the season while posting 1.02 kills per set with a .322 hitting percentage and 2.19 digs per set.

Crook is among the league leaders in digs (616) and digs per set (5.55), playing in every match this season for the Panthers. MacKnight, in her ninth season as Adelphi's head coach, guided the Panthers to the regular season crown as her squad won the final 18 games of the regular season before entering the NE-10 Championship. MacKnight's defending NE-10 Champion Panthers are currently the top ranked team in the East Region after cruising through conference play with a perfect 14-0 record.

Franklin Pierce's Katie Leidhold was selected as the NE-10 Rookie of the Year by the league's head coaches. Leidhold is currently fourth in the conference with 341 kills, posting 3.04 per set and leading the Ravens to the No. 2 seed in the NE-10 Championship. The freshman is also second in the league with 43 service aces while contributing 4.03 digs per set as well.

Adelphi had the most first-team selections with three, as well as the most overall student-athletes honored with six. Franklin Pierce had a pair of first teamers and had four honorees in total, as did American International and Le Moyne.
