While the amazing success Kim Page Ducharme brought to the softball diamond every time she stepped on the field is undeniable, what is equally undeniable is that Kim has the distinction of being the first member of the Northeast-10 who accomplished something no else did.

She held a national championship trophy.

Ducharme was the dominant pitcher of her time. After blazing through her first season with the league's Rookie of the Year honor, she only got better. In a remarkable run, she earned four straight First Team All Conference selections, and was the NE-10 Player of the Year in both 1993 and 1994.

With a 77-15 all time career record, she saved her best year for last putting together a 22-1 mark as a senior guiding her squad to its fourth consecutive tournament title, and then an incredible run through the NCAA tournament, culminating in a 6-2 victory over Humboldt State giving Merrimack and the NE-10 its first national championship.

To this day she remains the Merrimack program leader in career victories, career ERA at a miniscule 0.87, strikeouts with 566 and is second all time in innings pitched at 642.
