NE-10 GOES NATIONAL: Saturday's Football Game to be Broadcast on ESPN3

MANSFIELD, Mass. - This Saturday's NE-10 Football game between Stonehill and New Haven will be broadcast live on ESPN's online platforms. Saturday's game will take place at W.B. Mason Stadium on the campus of Stonehill and game time is scheduled for 6:05p.m.

Tickets for Saturday's nationally-broadcast game will be available on Stonehill's campus this week. The general public who wish to purchase their tickets for the game may also do so at the Stonehill athletic offices Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m., to 2 p.m.

Tickets for Stonehill football games are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for students and senior citizens, with children 12 and under admitted free of charge. Tickets will be available for purchase 90-minutes before kickoff at W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday.

This season's appearance on ESPN3 and WATCH ESPN marks the second time New Haven and Stonehill will square off on the national stage with this year's game part of the NCAA Division II Football Showcase.

The NCAA Division II Showcase highlights 22 regular season football games that will be carried live on ESPN3, WatchESPN and the American Sports Network. The 2016 showcase is part of a three-year agreement that deliverers Division II athletics events to a national audience.

Of the 22 games, 18 have been predetermined. An additional four flex games (two per network) will be finalized later in the football season and played on November 5 and 12. The flex games are expected to highlight premier and pivotal matchups.

ESPN3 is ESPN's live multiscreen sports network, a destination that delivers thousands of exclusive sports events annually. It is accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices through WatchESPN. The network is currently available nationwide at no additional cost to fans who receive their high-speed Internet connection or video subscription from an affiliated service provider.

It is also available at no cost to U.S. college students and U.S.-based military personnel via computers, smartphones and tablets connected to on-campus educational and on-base military broadband and Wi-Fi networks.

The last time New Haven and Stonehill met on the national stage came in 2012 when, then ranked No. 3 nationally, the Chargers used a touchdown pass with six seconds remaining to complete a 45-41 comeback win on CBS Sports Network. Overall, New Haven holds a 6-1 record in the all-time series, including two straight wins against the Skyhawks.
