Field Hockey All-Conference Teams & Award Winners Announced

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Stonehill's Erika Kelly has been named the 2015 Northeast-10 Field Hockey Player of the Year, as the league announced its all-conference teams and major award winners, voted upon by the conference's head coaches, on Wednesday. 

Kelly, who recently broke the NE-10 record for career goals, concluded the regular season as the NCAA Division II leader in points per game (3.18) and goals per game (1.29), while also posting the second-most assists in the country. The NE-10 leader in points and goals this season by a large margin, Kelly led the nationally ranked Skyhawks to a 9-3 mark in conference play this fall.

Merrimack's Mary McNeil was selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year after putting together a strong season for the Warriors. McNeil wrapped up regular season play with 12 goals and was fifth nationally in assists per game (0.53).

Adelphi's Gloria O'Connor collected Coach of the Year accolades after guiding the Panthers to a 14-4 overall record and a share of the NE-10 regular season title. Rachel Colvin was tabbed as NE-10 Defensive Player of the Year after anchoring O'Connor's Panthers on defense while contributing five goals on the season.

Assumption's Bridget Boyle garnered Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year honors for the Greyhounds, who also earned a share of the NE-10 regular season crown. Boyle led the conference with six shutouts this season while posting a save percentage of .810, a goals-against average of 1.09 and earning 12 wins.

The Panthers and Hounds, who both finished atop the NE-10 standings with identical 10-2 records in conference play, led the way with three first-team selections each. Saint Anselm had the most all-conference honorees with five overall, while Adelphi, Assumption and Merrimack each had four honorees apiece.
