Boylston, Mass. – Bentley University shot a two-day total of 609 to win the 2011 Northeast-10 Golf Championship. It was the Falcons' first team title since 2007. Bentley posted a 304 on day one of the event, and followed it up with a 305 on day two en route to the six-stroke title at the championship, which was held at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, Massachusetts.

Franklin Pierce University finished second with a team score of 615, while two-time defending champion Adelphi University finished third with a 617. For the Ravens, it is the highest finish at the NE-10 Championship in the history of the program.

Individually, Adelphi's Louis Kelly (pictured) posted a two-day score of 145 to claim 2011 Northeast-10 Player of the Year honors for the win. The freshman from Sewell, New Jersey, who shot a 70 on day one and a 75 on day two, also claims conference Rookie of the Year honors with the win. Three players posted a score of 150 during the championship to finish tied for second. Bentley's Harry Kirkpatrick and Richie Powers, and Saint Anselm College's Nicholas Maccario all finished tied five strokes back of Kelly.

Rounding out the rest of the team scores, the University of Massachusetts Lowell placed fourth, registering a score of 631, four shots ahead of The College of Saint Rose (635). Saint Anselm and Saint Michael's College tied for sixth place, each posting a championship total of 636. American International College finished seventh with a 637. Assumption College (647), Southern New Hampshire University (650), Le Moyne College (652), and Pace University (657), occupied spots nine through twelve, respectively.

The Northeast-10 also names its First Team performers at its championship event. The honor goes to the student-athletes that shot the top five scores at the event. Along with Kelly (145), Kirkpatrick (150), Powers (150), and Maccario (150), American Int'l'sKevin Daniels (151), Franklin Pierce's William Powers (151), So. New Hampshire'sErnie Lupi (152), Bentley's Matt Michel (153), Franklin Pierce's Ian Landry (153), John Goodwin (153), and Saint Rose's Matt Horton (153) all were named to the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference First Team.
