NE10 Duo Recognized by NEHWA.

MANSFIELD, Mass. - Assumption junior forward Ronny Paragallo and Saint Michael's junior defenseman David Ciancio were named Division II/III Men's All-Stars by the New England Hockey Writers Association (NEHWA) on Thursday, as two of the major award winners for the Northeast-10 Conference were recognized.

Paragallo, who was a finalist for the 23rd Joe Concannon Award, was the NE10 Player of the Year and led Assumption to its second conference championship in the past three seasons. He led all NE10 players this season in goals (23), assists (25), points (48) and plus-minus rating (+19). Paragallo was named to the NE10 All-Championship Team after helping the Greyhounds to a 3-2 win in double-overtime against Southern New Hampshire at the Worcester Ice Center on March 2. In addition to his Player of the Year honor, Paragallo was also named a First Team All-Conference player at forward.

Ciancio earned NE10 Co-Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference for Saint Michael's this season, as he becomes the 10th Purple Knights' player to ever earn a NEHWA regional accolade. Ciancio, a team captain, keyed the defensive unit for Saint Michael's by blocking 68 shots, including nine an an NE10 Championship semifinal matchup with Southern New Hampshire. He also accounted for eight goals and 11 assists (19 points) on the offensive side - while he registered at least one point in 11 of his team's 20 NE10 contests.

Paragallo and Ciancio were two of 18 student-athletes recognized on the New England Division II/III Men's All-Star Team.
