Voegeli's selection as the conference's Most Valuable Player was one of many individual awards that were announced by the Northeast-10 Wednesday morning. The Conference also announced its First and Second All-Conference Teams, as well the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

All of the awards were voted on the league's nine head coaches, who met in Worcester, Mass. on the campus of Assumption College yesterday afternoon. For a complete list of honorees, please see below.

Voegeli registered one of the greatest seasons in Northeast-10 Conference history, while leading the conference in a virtually every statistical category for wide receivers. The senior wide out broke the all time conference record for catches in a single season with his 108 receptions, and his 1,500 receiving yards was tops in the NE-10, and the second-most all time in league history.

Voegeli helped lead the Warriors to a 6-4 mark in 2012, and led the nation in receptions per game (10.9) and receiving yards per contest (154.4). He also hauled in fourteen receiving touchdowns, which was good for second in the Northeast-10. Voegeli was also a unanimous selection to the Northeast-10 Conference First Team Offense.

Voegeli's quarterback, senior Joe Clancy, was named the Northeast-10 Conference's Offensive Player of the Year. Clancy spearheaded an offense that averaged 41 points per game, tops in the conference.

The senior led the NE-10 in every major category for quarterbacks, and was among the nation's best in a number of offensive categories, as well. Clancy led the league in completions (323), completion percentage (63.3), passing yards (3,945), and touchdowns (31).

His 394.5 passing yards per game and his 32.3 completions per game were tops in all of Division II, while his 3,945 yards passing was second-best in the country. Clancy was also named to the NE-10 Conference First Team Offense.

The University of New Haven's Raheem Stanley was named the 2012 Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year. Stanley, an interior defensive lineman, helped lead the third-ranked Chargers (10-0, 8-0 NE-10) to an undefeated season thus far and the number two seed in Super Regional One of the NCAA Division II Tournament field.

Stanley and the rest of the New Haven defense only allowed 137 points on the season, surrendering just under fourteen points per game. On the season, the senior has recorded 30 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 5.5 tackles for a loss. He also blocked a kick in 2012, and had a pass breakup.

Stanley's head coach Peter Rossomando called Stanley "one of the most dominant defensive players I've ever coached." Stanley was also chosen as a member of the Northeast-10 Conference First Team Defense.

Stanley's line mate Tom Herd was named the Conference's Defensive Lineman of the Year. Herd, a senior defensive end, was another key member of the New Haven defense that has only allowed two teams to score 20 or more points so far this season.

Herd led the Northeast-10 with ten sacks. His 11.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage was the second-most in the league, and his two forced fumbles were tied for the second-most in the conference. Overall, the senior has recorded 21 tackles, recovered a fumble, and had an interception in 2012. Herd was also tabbed a member of the NE-10 First Team Defense.

While Stanley and Herd led a stout New Haven defensive front, David Stedman was the leader for the Chargers on the offensive line and was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year for the second consecutive season. The senior guard is the leader of an offensive line that has only allowed 15 sacks so far this season.

Stedman helped protect and block for a Chargers' offense that is currently averaging just under 41 points per game. The senior was also selected as a member of the Northeast-10 Conference First Team Offense.

Saint Anselm College's Andrew Murphy was named the 2012 Northeast-10 Rookie of the Year by the conference's coaches. The first-year quarterback, who was not the team's starter to being the season, only trailed Merrimack's Clancy in just about every passing category.

Murphy's 275 passing yards per game, 26 passing touchdowns, and 2,475 yards were all second-best, trailing only the NE-10's Offensive Player of the Year. Murphy who started nine games for the Hawks, completed 222 of 367 passes and led a Saint Anselm offense that averaged 27 points per game. He was a unanimous choice for the Conference's All-Rookie Team, as well.

After leading his team to an undefeated regular season, and a victory in the first-ever Northeast-10 Championship game, New Haven's Peter Rossomando was named the Coach of the Year by his peers. It's the third time he's earned the award during his five years as the head coach of the Chargers.

Rossomando led New Haven to a 10-0 record, and a first-round bye in the upcoming NCAA Tournament. The Chargers will host the winner of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania / Shepherd game in the Second Round of the Division II Championships. 16 of Rossomando's student-athletes were named either First or Second Team All-Conference, while Herd, Stanley, and Stedman all garnered major awards.
