Embrace the Victory: Felder and Tolbert Earn Spots on Don Hansen All-America Second Team

Don Hansen All-America

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Assumption's Hall and New Haven's Williams Named Honorable Mentions.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Stonehill's Justin Felder and American International's Isiah Tolbert both earned a place on the 2019 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Second Team, as announced on Monday morning.

For Felder, it's his third All-America recognition this postseason, following a nod to the AFCA Second Team and D2Football.com as an honorable mention. It is Tolbert's first-career All-America recognition.

Additionally, Assumption offensive lineman Quentin Hall and New Haven wide receiver/return specialist Ju'An Williams were named All-America honorable mentions by the Don Hansen Football Committee.

Felder, the NE10's Most Valuable Player, set Stonehill program records in rushing attempts (236), yards (1,513), touchdowns (16), total touchdowns (18), scoring (108 points) and all-purpose yards (1,611). He ranked fourth in all of Division II in rushing yards per game (151.3), sixth in rushing yards and 10th in rushing touchdowns.

Tolbert, the NE10 Defensive Lineman of the Year, recorded a league-high 18 tackles for a loss this season for the Yellow Jackets. He piled up seven sacks – third-most of any NE10 player – while racking up 71 tackles, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one interception.

Hall was the NE10 Offensive Lineman of the Year, as well as an AFCA All-America First Team, while Williams was named Don Hansen Super Region I Special Teams Player of the Year after ranking fifth in Division II averaging 18.92 yards per punt return.

The Don Hansen team carries out the legacy of long-time small college football advocate Don Hansen, who passed away at age 75 on Aug. 29, 2010. Hansen, from Brookfield, Ill., started and published Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette for three decades, selecting NCAA Division II All-America teams for the first time in 1988.
