MANSFIELD, Mass. - Franklin Pierce's Camden Morrison and Le Moyne's John Clare were selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Men's and Women's Golfers of the Year as the league announced it's major awards today.

Morrison, pictured, became the first Franklin Pierce student-athlete to compete at the NCAA National Championship event, following her second-place finish at the East Regionals this spring. The junior completed her outstanding campaign with a 47-place finish overall at the national event in May.

Le Moyne's Clare tied for third place at the National Championships recently to lead Le Moyne to its best finish in program's history by placing 13th overall. He won the East Regional Tournament in May, and along with newly-minted NE10 Rookie of the Year Jon Petrin, helped the Dolphins qualify for the National Championship.

Clare's birdie on the final hole at the Regional Tournament not only earned him medalist honors at the event, it also helped Le Moyne secure a spot as a team in the National Championship Tournament.

Morrison's teammate, Zoe Yamamoto, was selected as the NE10's Women's Rookie of the Year by the league's head coaches. Yamamoto was named NE10 Rookie of the Week seven times during her first year at Franklin Pierce.

Both Morrison and Clare's head coaches, Franklin Pierce's Tyler Bishop and Le Moyne's Joe Tesori, were honored by their peers as the coaches of the year.
