Ricigliano Repeats as Medalist

KEENE, N.H. – The Merrimack women's golf team continued its dominance within the NE-10 on Monday after winning its third straight NE-10 Women's Golf Championship from Bretwood Golf Course, where the third annual tournament was held. Alessandra Ricigliano led the way for the Warriors, winning her second NE-10 individual title in a row.
The Warriors have won all three of the league's women's golf tournaments in convincing fashion, this time holding a 19-stroke advantage over runner-up Franklin Pierce. After setting a new conference championship mark with a team score of 315 on Sunday, Merrimack shattered that record with a 310 on Monday for a final total of 625.
Ricigliano becomes the first repeat winner in the league championship's short history. She too shattered NE-10 Championship records with her stellar play. After tying her own mark set at last year's championship with a first-day 75, she set new records with a 71 on the final day and a 146 over the two-day tournament.
The Ravens finished in second for the third straight season, posting a team total of 646 after shooting a 316 on day two. Leading Franklin Pierce was Camden Morrison, who finished as the individual runner-up with a 75-75-150.
Ricigliano and Morrison were both named to the All-Championship Team and were joined by Merrimack's Krystal Knight and Jessica Wagner, as well as Le Moyne's Lauren Kase. Knight (154), Wagner (155) and Kase (156) each finished one stroke apart to round out the top-five finishers.
Le Moyne finished third with a 649 team score, while Adelphi placed fourth with a 703. Saint Rose took fifth with a 715, Southern New Hampshire was sixth with a 719 and Assumption placed seventh with a 721.
