Northeast-10 Places Fourteen on USILA Men's Lacrosse All-America Team

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) recently announced its 2014 Division II All-America Team, presented by Northwestern Mutual, as 14 Northeast-10 Conference student-athletes received recognition, including four on the First Team.

Adelphi University sophomore Sal Tuttle, the 2014 Northeast-10 Player of the Year, was a First Team selection, as was Adelphi senior Greg Puskuldjian and Le Moyne College grad student Alex Cameron-Carter and senior Andrew Chadderdon (pictured).

Tuttle finished the season with 57 goals and 21 assists for 78 points for the Panthers, who lost in the national semifinals, while Puskuldjian registered seven goals and three assists, won nearly 68 percent of his face offs and collected a conference-best 166 ground balls.

Cameron-Carter received Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year honors after collecting 29 ground balls and causing 15 turnovers in 16 games for the Dolphins, while teammate Chadderdon registered 24 goals and 22 points for 46 points.

Adelphi grad student Joe Celano and senior Wayne Marx, Le Moyne senior Kam Bumpus, Merrimack College senior Mike Perdie were all Second Team choices, while Adelphi grad student Nick Watson and Merrimack senior Jimmy Holland and sophomore Tim Towler garnered Third Team picks.

Earning Honorable Mention selections were Adelphi senior Tyler Felice-Jennings, Le Moyne junior Joe Corapi and Merrimack junior Brandon Waiter.

The Northeast-10 Conference is an association of 15 NCAA Division II colleges and universities located in New England and New York that is committed to supporting balanced academic and athletic opportunities for more than 6,000 student-athletes. Each year, 4,000 of those student-athletes compete in conference championships in 23 sports, making the NE-10 the largest DII conference in the country in terms of sport sponsorship.
