NE10 Player of the Week
Daniel Zabbia, Pace
Junior l Attack l Dix Hills, N.Y.
Zabbia fired off 10 goals this week in a 2-0 week for Pace which had Pace take down No. 13 Bentley in 3OT, where Zabbia scored four goals including the game-winner in overtime. He followed that up with a six-goal showing against Southern New Hampshire University. Between the two games, he added three ground balls.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Kyle Piersiak, Bentley
Sophomore | LSM | Needham, Mass.
Piersiak had four caused turnovers and seven groundballs in a three-overtime game vs. a ranked Pace foe. He then helped hold FPU to two goals with another caused turnover on Saturday.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Dylan Renner, Adelphi
Senior | Goalkeeper | Roslyn Heights, N.Y.
Renner totaled 38 stops in a 2-0 week with a 6.44 GAA and a career-high 21 saves vs Assumption. Renner really set himself apart, however, seeing 50 shots and saving 76% of them, including 81% of shots in a 14-4 win over Saint Rose.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Braden Donnellan, Adelphi
Freshman l Attack l Massapequa, N.Y.
Donnellan led the Adelphi rookies this week in points, collecting three in a 12-6 win over No. 9 (and undefeated) Pace. He scored twice with 80% of his shots on goal and added a helper in the Panthers six-goal opening stretch.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Kyle Lewis, Adelphi (So., M - Franklin Square, N.Y.)
Lewis accounted for nine points with four goals and five assists. With a hat trick vs Assumption, Lewis also collected three ground balls with a 75% shot-on-goal percentage to help Adelphi remain unbeaten in conference.
Ries Bower, AIC (Fr., D - Lethbridge, Alb.)
Bower was a dominant force in AIC's win at Franklin Pierce, forcing six turnovers and grabbing six ground balls while helping to hold the Ravens to just one second-half goal.
Ryan Healey, Assumption (Sr., A - Westwood, Mass.)
Healey extended his point streak to 28 games after recording six goals and three assists in a pair of games for the Greyhounds on the week. He began the week with three goals and two assists for five points before adding three goals and one assist against Adelphi on Saturday. Healey has recorded ten goals and four assists in the past three games.
Eddie Gigliotti, Bentley (Gr., M - Painted Post, N.Y.)
Gigliotti led Bentley with eight points last week. He dished four assists in Saturday's win over Franklin Pierce and had two goals, two assists and two ground balls against nationally ranked Pace.
Chris Caputo, Pace (Sr., D - Dix Hills, N.Y.)
Caputo turned in a strong defensive week in a 2-0 week for Pace. He caused five turnovers while securing two ground balls while drawing the top assignment in both matchups.
Anthony Kubik, Saint Anselm (Jr., GK - Chicago, Ill.)Kubik collected his sixth win in the cage for Saint Anselm after defeating Southern New Hampshire University 14-6 on Tuesday to improve to 4-0 in conference play. He posted 10 saves and allowed just six goals, featuring a shutout fourth-quarter performance, for a 62.5 save percentage. Kubik currently has the second-best winning percentage (85.7) in the league as well as the the fifth-best save percentage (51.5).
Colin Mulvey, Saint Anselm (Jr., A - Reading, Mass.)
Mulvey led Saint Anselm with five goals for five points against crosstown rivals Southern New Hampshire University on Tuesday marking new career highs for the junior attacker. He recorded six of his seven shots on target for an 85.7 on-goal shooting percentage. Mulvey is now tied for the third-most goals (12) and fourth-most points (14) on the team with his performance against the Penmen.
Sean Regan, Saint Michael's (Jr., GK - Pittsford, N.Y.)
Regan made 17 saves while scooping one ground ball in a 15-13 victory at Assumption, which was receiving national votes, on Wednesday.
Sebastian Simonson, Saint Michael's (Jr., A - Spruce Grove, Alb.)
Simonson had two goals, four assists, two ground balls and a caused turnover in a 15-13 win at Assumption, which was receiving national votes, on Wednesday. He notched a goal and an assist during a key 5-0 second-quarter run that gave the Purple Knights the lead for good.
Ryan Auger, Southern New Hampshire (Gr., F - Hampstead, N.H.)
Auger led the Penmen with five goals and five assists (10 points) in games against nationally-ranked Saint Anselm and Pace last week. Auger leads the Penmen in scoring with 41 points. His 139 career points move him into a tie for 12th in program history.
