SOUTH BURLINGTON, Vt.
– The Saint Anselm Hawks scored four goals in the final period to earn a 6-3 victory over Saint Michael's en route to their ninth Northeast-10 Championship on Saturday night.

Johnny Daniels
led the way for Saint Anselm with a hat trick, including the game-winner, and an assist. Shane Joyce made 30 saves on 33 shots between the pipes for the Hawks.

The two teams went back-and-forth for the majority of the contest. Saint Anselm got on the board first behind a goal from Nick Leonard for the only goal of the opening frame.

The Purple Knights tied it up at one apiece 9:27 into the second period on a Danny Divis power play goal. Just over two minutes later, NE-10 Player of the Year AJ Pieprzak netted another power play goal for the Purple Knights to go ahead, 2-1.

The Hawks then evened the score at two just before the second period came to a close, as Tyler Estee scored a power play goal of his own.

Daniels scored all three of his goals in the third period, beginning with an unassisted score just 1:14 into the final frame to put Saint Anselm ahead by one. Saint Michael's Josh Dickman tied it up again with less than 10 minutes left in the game to make it three all.

Saint Anselm took the lead for good 11:13 into the third on Daniels' game-winner, his second score of the night. Mark Meads put the hawks up by a pair with 1:16 left on the clock before Daniels capped off his three-goal night with an empty netter with 31 seconds remaining.

Bryan Sullivan
had three assists for the Hawks, and Joey Agliato added a pair of helpers as well. Dickman tallied two points on a goal and an assist, while William Cote had two helpers.

The Hawks finish the season with an 11-13-3 record, while the Purple Knights end with a 9-16-2 mark.
