Defending Champion Southern New Hampshire Earns Top-Seed in NE-10 Soccer Championship

MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Reigning National Champion and Northeast-10 Conference champion Southern New Hampshire University will be the top seed in the upcoming 2014 Northeast-10 Men's Soccer Championship, which gets underway Tuesday, November 4 with quarterfinal action.

The Penmen (14-1-1, 11-1-1 NE-10) wrapped up their conference slate with a 7-1 win over The College of Saint Rose Friday night to earn the top seed.

So. New Hampshire will host eighth-seeded American International College in a Northeast-10 Championship Quarterfinal matchup Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m., with three other quarterfinal games taking place that day as well.

Southern Connecticut State University earned the No. 2 seed and will host seventh-seeded Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday at 4 p.m. Adelphi University is the three seed in this year's championship and host sixth-seeded Le Moyne College at 7:30 p.m., and Stonehill College hosts fifth-seeded Merrimack College at 1 p.m. in the fourth quarterfinal game.

The 2014 Men's Soccer Championship semifinals will take place on Friday, Nov. 7, with the Championship Final being played Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. The highest remaining seed will host the championship final game, and The Northeast-10 Conference will be broadcasting the final game live at northeast10.tv on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 1:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 4 – Quarterfinals
Match 1: #8 American International at #1 Southern New Hampshire – 7:00 pm
Match 2: #5 Merrimack at #4 Stonehill – 1:00 pm
Match 3: #7 Franklin Pierce at #2 Southern Connecticut – 4:00 pm
Match 4: #6 Le Moyne at #3 Adelphi – 7:30 pm

Friday, November 7 - Semifinals (at high seeds)
Match 5: Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2
Match 6: Winner of Match 3 vs. Winner of Match 4

Sunday, November 9 - Championship (at high seed)
Match 7: Match 5 Winner vs. Match 6 Winner – 1:00 p.m.
