NE10 Player of the Week

Kaitlyn Cahill, Assumption
Sophomore | Outfielder/Catcher | Grafton, Mass.

Cahill was a perfect 6-for-6 at the plate in Assumption's NE10 opening sweep of Saint Anselm. She combined to have five runs, one double, one home run, four RBI and four stolen bases.

NE10 Pitcher of the Week

Jessica Perucki, Southern Connecticut State
Graduate l Pitcher/DH l West Milford, N.J.

Perucki had a trio of shutdown performances on the mound while also hitting safely in all three starts. Perucki was 3-0 with a 0.33 ERA with 25 strikeouts in 21 innings pitched. The lone run that Perucki gave up ended a consecutive scoreless innings streak of 28 2/3 innings. At the plate, Perucki hit .500 (4-8) in three games with a home run, five RBI and two runs scored. Against Bloomfield, Perucki hurled a complete-game two-hitter with seven K's while also going 1-for-3 at the plate. Against Saint Rose in a 4-0 win, Perucki stymied the Golden Knights to the tune of zero runs allowed on two hits with six strikeouts in a complete game win, while also driving in all four of the Owls' runs with a two-run single and a two-run home run. Against AIC, Perucki struck out a season-high 12 batters in a complete game victory in which she allowed one run on three hits. At the plate, she drove in two more runs with a double. Perucki is 6-2 with a NE10-leading 0.34 ERA, which ranks second nationally. The Owls hurler also leads the NE10 in WHIP at 0.73, which ranks fourth in the country.

NE10 Rookie of the Week

Kelsey Higgins, Saint Rose
Freshman l Pitcher l North Attleboro, Mass.

Higgins slashed .667/.714/1.083, as the freshman went 8-for-12 with a home run, two RBI, and five runs scored across a 3-1 weekend for the Golden Knights. In addition to leading the NE10 in batting average and home runs, Higgins is also tied for second in the league in RBI.

NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

Samantha Sanchez, American International (Jr., C/INF - Mount Kisko, N.Y.)
Sanchez continued her hot streak to help AIC sweep New Haven, collecting five hits with a double in eight at-bats against the Chargers; on the week, she slashed .385/.467/.462 and scored six times as she reached at least twice in three of AIC's four games.

Kaelin Waldron, Assumption (So., P - Griswold, Conn.)
Waldron pitched 5.2 innings vs Saint Anselm, allowing two hits, one earned run and K'ing three. she held the Hawks to a .107 average.

Samantha Sylvester, Franklin Pierce (Sr., P - Morris, Conn.)
Sylvester went 2-0 (wins versus Adelphi and Pace) helping FPU to a 3-1 weekend. Perfect 0.00 era and 0 Runs Allowed leads the NE10 (0 runs allowed in 11 innings) Moves to 5-1 on the year with a Save. Held opponents to .139 average

Gisselle Garcia, Pace (Jr., P - Lemon Grove, Calif.)
Garcia went 2-1 this week, earning both wins during NE10 play. Over 19 innings, one of the top strikeout artists in NCAA DII sat down 19 batters by the way of the K while only allowing six runs all week for an ERA of 2.21.

Brianna Shea, Pace (Jr., 3B - Oceanside, Calif.)
Shea hit .333 in a week Pace went 3-3. She had six hits, four runs, and three extra-base hits. She homered and stole a bag and drove in three of the team's five runs in a shutout of St. Michael's.

Gracie O'Hara, Saint anselm (Sr., 3B - Shrewsbury, Mass.)
O'Hara went 3-for-4 at the plate for Saint Anselm after falling to Assumption in doubleheader action on Saturday. She produced two RBIs and her first home run of the season, her 12th in her career as a Hawk. On the fielding side, she recorded two putouts and two assists.

Jenna Devens, Saint Michael's (Jr., P/INF - Parsippany, N.J.)
Devens slashed .636/1.091/.714 from the middle of the order during a four-game road weekend. She hit 7-for-11 with two runs, two doubles, a home run, two RBI, a walk and two hit-by-pitches. In the circle, she had a 2.33 ERA, tossing a complete game in her lone appearance with two earned runs over six innings, fanning two and walking one.
