MANSFIELD, Mass. – The Northeast-10 Conference is proud to announce 16 student-athletes have been named to 2020 Academic All-Conference teams for the spring season – representing the sports of men's golf, women's golf and women's tennis.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements: started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor and achieved a 3.30 cumulative GPA (based on a 4.0 scale).

Academic All-Conference teams for the sports of baseball, softball, lacrosse, outdoor track & field and men's tennis were suspended for 2020 due to a lack of competition as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of the 16 student-athletes who earned Academic All-Conference honors, five are repeat selections – including three from men's golf in Bentley's Tommy Ethier, Ellis Yoder and Le Moyne's Nicholas Barney. From women's golf, Assumption's Catherine French and Southern New Hampshire's Morgan Mitchell earned repeat distinction.

Barney and French lead the group of honorees on Thursday, as both have three career selections to the NE10 Academic All-Conference teams. Assumption, Le Moyne and SNHU tied with a league-high three student-athletes each that were recognized.

Ethier was named NE10 Men's Golf Player of the Year back in April and he is one of three men's golfers to earn First Team All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors (also Assumption's Andrew Sanzaro and Saint Michael's Matt Johnson).

AIC's Paulette Romero and Le Moyne's Bianca Cruz-Hernandez join French in the First Team All-Conference/Academic All-Conference category for women's golf, while Adelphi's Nicole Stay and SNHU's Elizabeth Dwyer achieved the mark in women's tennis.
