Stonehill's Justin Felder Selected to College Football America Division II Preseason Starting Lineup

Felder

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Felder was NE10 Most Valuable Player in 2019.

MANSFIELD, Mass. – Stonehill junior running back Justin Felder, who ranked fourth in Division II in rushing yards per game in 2019, has been named to the College Football America Yearbook Division II Preseason Starting Lineup – the CFA's version of an All-America Team.

Felder, the Northeast-10 Conference Most Valuable Player last season who set career and program rushing records as a sophomore, earned a place on the CFA Offense as one of just two running backs selected. He is coming off an All-American season, earning Second Team recognition from the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).

The Skyhawks' standout recorded the first 100-point season in school history, while setting a number of other program records in all-purpose yards (1,611), rushing yards (1,513), rushing touchdowns (16), total touchdowns (18) and points scored (108).

In 2019, Felder became the first NE10 player to record consecutive 300-yard rushing games in league history – with his pair of 300-yard explosions tying the record for the most such games in a single season.

Felder's trademark performance of the season came against Pace on Nov. 9, where he ran for 311 yards on a career-high 40 carries and recording four touchdowns (three rushing, one receiving). His 151.3 rushing yards per game average put him fourth in all of Division II and made him a four-time NE10 Offensive Player of the Week.

Felder, a native of Springfield Gardens, N.Y., helped Stonehill to a 6-4 record (5-3 NE10) last season, finishing in a three-way tie for third place in the conference – the program's best finish since tying for first with American International in the 2013 season.
