Embrace the Victory: Saint Anselm, Le Moyne Top NE10 Championship Field for Third-Straight Season

MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the third-consecutive season, Saint Anselm and Le Moyne will enter the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Championship as the top seeds after capturing regular season titles in the Northeast and Southwest Divisions, respectively.

The first round of the NE10 Championship will take place on Friday in cross-division matchups between the fourth and fifth-seeded teams, while the quarterfinal round is slated for Sunday afternoon. The NE10 semifinals will be played on Wednesday, March 4, with the championship game on Saturday, March 7.

The Hawks (18-8, 14-5 NE10) earned a convincing 94-55 win over Bentley in the regular season finale on Tuesday night, winning the Northeast Division outright in the process. The Dolphins (19-8, 15-4 NE10) ran away with the Southeast Division, finishing the season with a four-game lead over Adelphi and Southern Connecticut (11-8 NE10).

Both Saint Anselm and Le Moyne are receiving votes in the latest NABC Poll and were two of five NE10 teams included last week in the first release of the NCAA East Region rankings.

Stonehill and Adelphi are the No. 2 seeds in the upcoming NE10 Championship, while Franklin Pierce and Southern Connecticut will be the No. 3 seeds. All four teams earn automatic trips to the quarterfinals on Sunday.

On Friday in first round action, New Haven will travel to play Bentley at 5 p.m., while Southern New Hampshire plays at Pace at 7:30 p.m. The winners of both games will move on to face Saint Anselm and Le Moyne on Sunday.
