NE10 Player of the Week
Sean Magarian, Assumption
Senior | Worcester, Mass.
Magarian shot a 5-under (135) with rounds of 69 and 66 to tie for first place at the FPU Fall Invitational. As a team the Greyhounds finished second overall at +4 and bested the remaining NE10 teams in the field by at least 19 strokes.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Kyle Puchol, Assumption
Freshman | Mashpee, Mass.
Puchol shot a two-over (68/74) in the Greyhounds' second-place finish at the FPU Fall Invitational.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Nelson Eaton, Bentley (Jr. - Groton, Vt.)
Eaton tied for third in the Hartford Hawks Invitational while posting an even-par 144. After a first-round 74, he turned in a two-under 70 during the second round. In the Falcons' season debut, Eaton improved on career bests for both 18 holes and 36 holes. He had seven birdies and one eagle during the tournament.
Seth Saffell, Franklin Pierce (So. - Castro Valley, Calif.)
Shot a 72-72-144 at the Franklin Pierce Invitational. He was the team's top finisher, coming in 18th out of 63 golfers.
Drew Semons, Saint Anselm (Sr. - Danvers, Mass.)
Semons led the Hawks at the FPU Fall Invite, carding an opening round 70 and followed that with a 71 to finish with a 141 for the tournament.
Peter Pagliuca, Saint Michael's (Jr. - East Boston, Mass.)
Pagliuca posted the best round and tournament scores of his career during the season-opening Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational on Sunday and Monday. After carding a 5-over 77 during the first round, Pagliuca turned in a career-best 3-over 75 in round two, totaling 152 shots for the tournament to tie for 39th in a competitive field.
