Magarian shot a -4 (70/70) to win the individual title at the SNHU Penmen Invitational to begin the spring semester.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Hermann Gavilan, New Haven
Freshman | Valencia, Spain
In the second of two events last week, Gavilan led the Chargers as he finished the two-day SNHU Penmen Invitational fourth overall -1 for the tournament. He opened up the event with an even par 72 in round one and shaved off one stroke in his second round. In the first event of the week, the Hartford Hawks Invitational, he finished 13th overall.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Evan Desjardins, Bentley (Jr. - Salem, N.H.)
During Southern New Hampshire's Penmen Invitational, Desjardins led the Falcons with a 73-73-146. He tied for 14th overall in a field of 55 players.
Aissa El Khadri, New Haven (So. - Kingdom of Morocco)
El Khadri posted a top-10 finish to lead his squad to a second place overall performance at the Hartford Hawks Invitational among nine teams playing in the event. El Khadri matched his opening round score of 77 in round two, finishing the 36-hole event +10 with a 144 which placed him in a two-way tie for ninth place. He then followed that up with a t-17th place finish at the SNHU Penmen Invitational, finishing the two-round event +4.
Robbie Forti, Saint Anselm (Sr. - Danvers, Mass.)
Forti led Saint Anselm at the Penmen Spring Invite after shooting one-under 71 during both rounds to finish the competition with two-under 142 after 36 holes. He secured third place with his performance over the two-day invite to help the Hawks claim second overall out of 10 teams.
