Renner is First NE10 National Player of the Year Since Matt Hutchings in 2021
MANSFIELD, Mass. - Dylan Renner's historic season continues. Already the NE10 Co-Player of the Year and North Region Player of the Year, the Adelphi goalie added National Goalkeeper of the Year and National Player of the Year to his accolades Thursday, as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Renner leads the country in wins and save percentage this season and ranks second in goals against average.
Renner's honor wasn't the only one the Northeast-10 took home this spring. Saint Anselm senior Nick Larsen is the National Midfielder of the Year while another 12 players earned All-America status. An additional 11 NE10 student-athletes received honorable mention. Larsen repeats for the NE10 after the league claimed Midfielder of the Year in 2023 with Pace's Anthony Caputo.
Renner is the first goalie to win USILA's Player of the Year acknowledgment and he's the first NE10 goalie to win National goalie of the Year since St. Anselm's Christopher Hart in 2021. Brendan McDougal was the last Adelphi keeper to win Goalie of the Year in 2017.
