NE10 Men's Tennis Teams of the Week: Bentley, Le Moyne

Bentley, Le Moyne

Each week for the remainder of the spring we will honor the seniors from two NE10 men's tennis programs as our teams of the week for each player's dedication to their program and teammates.

BENTLEY

Coach Rick Edelmann on his senior class - "Kendall is a team player that every coach wants on his team. Kendall is the hardest working player and never misses a practice, match or any minute of tennis, ever."

Season Recap
Bentley men's tennis was 4-6 this year before the cancellation of spring sports, with all four victories coming as part of an undefeated fall season. The Falcons picked up wins over UMass-Dartmouth, Eastern Nazarene, Nichols and Dist. Columbia between the months of September and October. Bentley played six matches in the spring, none of them in NE10 action, with the final match being a 4-3 loss to St. Thomas Aquinas in Lakeland, Fla. Au picked up a win at No. 6 singles against STAC, his final match of the season, and was 6-8 overall as a senior.

LE MOYNE

Coach Jeff Lonczak on his senior class - "Can a one-man senior class be the most influential class in the history of a program?  The answer is yes, if that man is Phil Blythe.  Phil was an underappreciated and overlooked recruit coming out of Edinburgh, Scotland.  He was the start of the rise of the LeMoyne College men's tennis program and because of him, it will continue in the future."
