NE10 Player of the Week
Maeve Johnson, Bentley
Senior | Attack | Duxbury, Mass.
Johnson had a huge week with 14 goals and three assists to lead Bentley to wins over Franklin Pierce and Saint Rose. She tied the school single-game record for both goals (9) and points (11) in Saturday's win at Saint Rose. Johnson began the week with five tallies in a home win over the Ravens.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Molly Weiand, Assumption
Junior | Midfield | Walpole, Mass.
Weiand had a strong week in the midfield for the Greyhounds, as she helped lead the team to a 2-0 week. On Tuesday evening, she recorded three ground balls, one assist, and one caused turnover in Assumption's 16-6 win over No. 21 Saint Anselm. Weiand finished off the week with three goals, four ground balls, and five caused turnovers in the Greyhounds' 18-9 win over Franklin Pierce.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Samantha Tanguay, Pace
Sophomore | Goalkeeper | Baldwinsville, N.Y.
Tanguay earned another win between the pipes this week in the Setters' lone game of the week against RV Mercy. She made 11 saves in the 12-11 double-overtime win for Pace.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Ashley Kolomechuk, Adelphi
Freshman | Attack | Commack, N.Y.
Kolomechuk posted 11 points in a 2-0 week for No. 3 Adelphi, tallying nine goals and two assists. Against Saint Rose, she scored a career-high five goals with a 75 percent shot-on-goal percentage. Kolomechuk continued her scoring spree with four in a non-conference win over Mercy while adding two helpers for a new career-high in points in a game with six.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Kelly-Ann McGrath, Adelphi (Sr., M - Franklin Square, N.Y.)
With the help of 11 points from McGrath, No. 3 Adelphi improved to 9-1 overall as they picked up a league win over Saint Rose and non-conference matchup against Mercy. In addition to five goals and six assists, the senior caused a pair of turnovers and picked up 11 draw control victories. With her third point against Mercy, McGrath reached the 100-point milestone in her career.
Jenna Joseph, Assumption (Gr., A - Longmeadow, Mass.)
In two games this week, Joseph tallied five goals and six assists for 11 points. At No. 21 Saint Anselm, she logged two goals and two assists in the 16-6 win on Tuesday evening. Joseph capped off the weekend with three goals and four assists for a game-high seven points in Assumption's 18-9 win over Franklin Pierce. On the season, she leads the NE10 in assists with 32, while ranking third in total points with 48.
Lauren Rochel, Bentley (Fr., GK - Wantagh, N.Y.)
Rochel posted a 57.7 save percentage and 6.29 GAA and earned two wins in the cage for the Falcons last week. She made seven stops and had a 63.6 save percentage against Franklin Pierce and eight saves and a 53.3 save percentage against Saint Rose.
Katie Schenk, New Haven (Sr., M - Southbury, Conn.)
In a pair of games last week, Schenk led the Chargers in scoring in both games, racking up a dozen goals, including half of those coming on free position attempts. The transfer midfielder opened up the week with five goals in a road win over crosstown rival Southern Connecticut, she then wrapped up the weekend with a season-high for all players with seven goals at home against Saint Anselm. In addition to her scoring, she added nine draw controls, two ground balls and a caused turnover.
Alexandra Quinn, Pace (Sr., D - Eastport, N.Y.)
Quinn helped hold the line in the Setters' 12-11 double-overtime win over RV Mercy, securing four ground balls and draw controls while causing five Maverick turnovers.
Erin Doyle, Saint Anselm (Sr., D - Weymouth, Mass.)
Doyle recorded six total ground balls, four caused turnovers, and three draw controls during a 1-1 week for Saint Anselm. She led the Hawks defense with four caused turnovers and five ground balls during the 13-11 victory over New Haven. Doyle currently has the second-most caused turnovers (22) and third-most ground balls (26) in the league thanks to her performance this week.
Sophia Lynch, Saint Michael's (So., A - West Hartford, Conn.)
Lynch posted four goals, two assists, seven draw controls and a caused turnover in a 21-8 win at AIC on Saturday.
Kirsten McIntire, Southern Conn. St. (Sr., A - Nashua, N.H.)
McIntire, who leads the NE10 with 39 goals, had a team-best of two goals and two points in a loss against New Haven. She led the team with seven points and six goals in a loss at Southern New Hampshire.
Alexis DeLucia, Southern N.H. (Sr., M - Uncasville, Conn.)
DeLucia caused a turnover, collected two ground balls, won a program-record 16 draw controls, and tallied a goal and an assist, as SNHU defeat Southern Connecticut, 23-12, Saturday.
Katelyn Hadden, Southern N.H. (Gr., F - Newburyport, Mass.)
Hadden registered a career-high 10 points on a career-best seven goals and three points, while also winning seven draw controls, collecting a ground ball and causing a pair of turnovers, in Saturday's 23-12 victory over Southern Connecticut.
