NE10 Player of the Week
Katelyn Hadden, Southern New Hampshire
Graduate Student | Attack | Newburyport, Mass.
Hadden registered 15 points on eight goals and seven assists during a 2-0 week for SNHU. She also added eight ground balls, two draw controls and caused five turnovers. Hadden tallied four goals, two assists, two draw controls and three caused turnovers in Tuesday's 21-7 win against Franklin Pierce. She then notched four goals, a career-high five assists, seven ground balls and two caused turnovers in a 26-11 victory over American International on Saturday.
NE10 Defensive Player of the Week
Angelina Porcello, Pace
Senior | Midfield | Eastchester, N.Y.
Porcello got the job done on both sides of the field in a 2-0 week for Pace. Against Southern Connecticut, Porcello scored one goal while handing out for assists. She also added eight ground balls, five draw controls and seven caused turnovers. Against Saint Rose, Porcello contributed two goals and one assist on offense. On defense, she secured seven ground balls, two draws and six caused turnovers. Her totals this week were 10 points (three goals, seven assists), 15 ground balls, seven draw controls and 13 caused turnovers.
NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week
Gabby Buscemi, New Haven
Senior | Goalkeeper | East Patchogue, N.Y.
The Chargers primary goalkeeper, Buscemi played all but two of the 120 minutes this past weekend, leading the Chargers to a 2-0 week with road wins at Saint Rose and at Bentley. Against the Golden Knights, she finished with six saves while surrendering just five goals in a 16-5 win. In the weekend finale at Bentley, she tied her career-high with 18 saves, including one in the final 90 seconds of the game to secure the 14-13 victory. She totaled 24 saves and a 57.1 save percentage for New Haven this week.
NE10 Rookie of the Week
Maddie Schubert, Pace
Sophomore | Midfielder | Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.
Schubert provided seven goals and two assists in two dominant wins for No. 1 Pace. Against Southern Connecticut, Schubert fired off six goals while also causing one turnover. In the Setters' rout of Saint Rose, Schubert chipped in one goal and an assist.
NE10 Weekly Honor Roll
Danielle Marino, Adelphi (Gr., A/M - West Islip, N.Y.)
Adelphi went 2-0 last week, aided by an 11-point performance from Marino. She scored at least a hat trick in both victories, while adding four assists overall. She went perfect in free position attempts and also collected eight ground balls. In a 19-6 win over Franklin Pierce she scored four times with three helpers for a team-leading seven points.
Jenna Joseph, Assumption (Gr., A - Longmeadow, Mass.)
Joseph continued to accumulate points, recording six points in each game this past week. She began the week with three goals and three assists against No. 3 Adelphi and capped off the week with one goal and five assists in the Greyhounds' 12-7 win over Southern Connecticut. During the year, she led the NE10 by 14 assists (43) and ranked fourth in points.
Maeve Johnson, Bentley (Sr., A - Duxbury, Mass.)
Johnson scored seven goals on Saturday in a 14-13 loss to New Haven. That was her third game in the last four with at least six goals.
Ivanna Hernandez, New Haven (Sr., M - Bay Shore, N.Y.)
Hernandez led the Chargers offense to a pair of victories last week, including a 14-13 road win over Bentley to maintain control over third place in the league standings. Overall for the week, she racked up seven points on five goals and two assists with one of her goals coming on a free position shot. She opened up the week with five points in an 11 goal victory over Saint Rose, adding a draw control and caused turnover in that game. Against Bentley, she finished with two goals, with her two goals coming on her only two shots.
Maggie Fitzgerald, Saint Anselm (Sr., M - Holliston, Mass.)
Fitzgerald led the No. 22 Saint Anselm with a career-high five goals and one assist to match her career-best of six points to take down Daemen, 18-5, on Saturday. She fired nine total shot attempts with six on frame for a 66.7 on-goal shooting percentage.
Sophia Lynch, St. Michael's (So., A - West Hartford, Conn.)
Lynch posted three goals, one assist, six ground balls and three caused turnovers during a 19-7 win at Felician on Saturday.
Alexis DeLucia, Southern N.H. (Sr., MF - Uncasville, Conn.)
DeLucia caused five turnovers, collected six ground balls and won 14 draw controls, while contributing two goals and two assists on offense, during a 2-0 week for SNHU. DeLucia tallied three caused turnovers, three ground balls, nine draw controls and a goal in a 21-7 victory over Franklin Pierce on Tuesday. She recorded two caused turnovers, three ground balls, five draw controls, a goal and two helpers in Saturday's 26-11 triumph against American Int'l.
Nicole Mirra, Southern N.H. (Fr., GK - Cicero, N.Y.)
Mirra stopped 12 of the 23 shots she faced during a 2-0 week for SNHU. She earned the win in a 21-7 victory over Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, as she made nine saves on 16 shots. Mirra entered in relief to begin the second half of Saturday's 26-11 win against American International and turned away three of seven shots.
