AIC and Saint Rose Represent NE10 Programs.
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Four women's soccer student-athletes from the Northeast-10 Conference were named Player Award of Distinction recipients by United Soccer Coaches last week, including three from American International and one from Saint Rose.
AIC's Grace Beaupre, Trystin Burger and Caroline Porter, as well as Saint Rose's Marika Laurendeau, earned the honor from United Soccer Coaches for their on-field performance and leadership. United Soccer Coaches is committed to extending opportunities for its college members to recognize their significant players and contributions to their programs.
The Player Award of Distinction was established this spring for its member head coaches to submit deserving players based on one or more of the following criteria:
- Player has achieved quality performance on the field.
- Represented the highest ideals of team leadership.
- Exhibited quality character attributes including sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and the game in general.
- Made other significant contributions to the benefit of the program and the community.
The NE10 did not a sponsor a formal season of competition for fall sports in 2020, but four programs played games as independents – with AIC and Saint Rose being two of them. Franklin Pierce and Saint Anselm also competed in at least one countable contest this spring.
