WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The
University of New Haven women's volleyball team concluded its 2013
Dig Lavender campaign on Saturday afternoon at Bentley prior to
their Northeast-10 match with the Falcons.
The Chargers raised more than $2,000 to be donated to the
Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center in support of Bentley
Head Coach Sandy Hoffman, who is battling
Adrenocortical Carcinoma Cancer. Lavender is the color used to
recognize and raise awareness for all rare forms of cancer.
Donations were collected online and at Charger home matches
throughout the month of October. Fans who wish to contribute to Dig
Lavender can continue to make donations here.
